BBQ and Blues Bash THIS Friday, October 12th
The Inman 7th Annual Family BBQ and Blues Bash THIS Friday, October 12th 5:30pm–8:30pm on the Inman Upper Field. Don't miss this chance to sit under the stars and groove to the music of "The Blues Barons" with all your friends from Inman. Tickets will be sold at the gate. For the low price of $8 per Adult or $5 per Child (10 and under), you will get your choice of Pulled Pork BBQ, Jumbo Dogs, and a limited number of Veggie Burgers with sides including Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Beans and Chips. Drinks will be available for a dollar. Families are encouraged to bring a dessert to share!

6th Grade Language Arts Update
The students have finished their first novel of the year, and will be starting to read "Tangerine" by Edward Bloor. The teachers would like each student to have their own personal copy of each book and are requesting a donation of $25.oo to cover the cost of the novels. Please let your child's L.A. teacher know whether you plan to donate or purchase the books yourself.

Wednesday, October 17th is PICTURE DAY!
Today, we gave the kids informative fliers on picture packages and pricing. They will receive envelopes to order pictures on Monday. There are NOT extra envelopes available, so if the kids lose them, they can't order their pictures. This is the picture that will appear in the Yearbook. Remind your child wear nice clothes and a big smile!

Pre-order your Yearbook today!
You can reserve your copy of the 2007-08 yearbook at the School Store! The cost is $25 cash (or check made out to Inman Middle School.) Yearbooks SOLD OUT within a week of arriving to Inman last year! We would love every student to have a yearbook, and preordering guarantees that there will be one for you when they come out in 2008. As an added incentive to preorder, we offer a special lower price! The $25 price will not last forever. Yearbook prices will increase as the year goes on... First Inman Dance of the Year
Get ready for Inman's first dance of the year scheduled for Friday, October 26th, 7-9pm. The cost will be $5 or $3 with a perfect attendance coupon. A permission form will be sent home with students. Permission forms are required to enter the dance. Parent volunteers and chaperones needed. Please contact Tracey Fortune at traceyfortune@bellsouth.net.

Directory Update
We are in the final stages of proofreading the directory. In September or early October, you should have a received a verification email to verify your student's entry in the student directory. If you did NOT receive the directory verification email and/or did not respond to the directory verification email, please contact Lynne Goldsman goldsmanL@mindspring.com (place INMAN DIRECTORY VERIFICATION in the subject line of your email) so that you can check your student's entry in the directory.

Magazine Sale & Family Donation Drive a Success
Our Total Magazine Sales & Donations came to $55,758. Out of the total, $5,830 came from family donations, and $21,968.32 (44% of sales) will go to Inman to support our programs/teacher support/scholarships. Thanks to our supporters who purchase magazine sales online, we had over $9,000 of online sales this year! Thanks go to all our volunteers that came every turn-in day to tally up the totals! Kudos to our Inman kids and families who participated in this fundraiser!
