Early Release Day Reminder:
Students leave school Tuesday, January 15th at 12:45pm. There are no after school activities, clubs, sports, or after care program on those days. Please make other arrangements for your children. All students should be off campus by 1:00 as all Inman staff members are participating in professional development activities. Mark your calendars for the next Early Release Day on Tuesday, February 12th.

The next Principal's Coffee will be TOMORROW, Wednesday, January 16th at 8:15am in the Media Center. Come out and meet with Dr. Bockman and other parents to catch up on the happenings at Inman. I look forward to seeing you all there.

Congratulations to 6th grade Debate Team members Kyle Cobb and Sonny Romeo! The two went undefeated in the Debate Meet held on Saturday, January 12th at Inman. These two 6th graders received the first place debate team award and Kyle Cobb also won the first place speaker award. Sonny Romeo received an 8th place speaker award for the meet.

Congratulations to 6th grade Spelling Bee winners, Mary Kate Vian and Skyler Swift! Mary Kate outlasted all other 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in the annual Inman Spelling Bee. Spelling must run in the Vian family as older brother, Lee, also won the Inman Spelling Bee. Skyler is the first runner up. Mary Kate will go on to the APS Spelling Bee next month.

An Evening At Inman, will be held on Thursday, February 7th, at 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Inman Cafeteria. The Evening was a smashing success last year, and featured an amazing array of foods donated by restaurants such as the Little 5 Corner Tavern, Wolfgang Puck Express, Osteria, Camelli's, and Food 101. That's just a small sampling of the generous establishments participating. The list has expanded even more this year. That's not all! Not only will your family enjoy a reasonably priced dinner with family and friends, you will have the opportunity to shop the Book Fair, view exhibits by the Art and Photo Clubs, and enjoy music performances by the Inman Jazz Band. And, after feasting on this wide variety of menu selections, be sure to save room to enjoy a goody (or two) from the Bake Sale as well. We hope you will join us for an Evening of fun, friends, and delicious food! Advance tickets will be $5 for students, and for $10 adults. Tickets at the door will be $10 for students, and $15 adults (children under 6 free.)

Atlanta's Grady High School and its acclaimed fashion division, UrbanCouture, have teamed up with Pets Are Loving Support (PALS) to launch a pet fashion fundraiser appropriately tagged "Doggies on the Catwalk" which will be held at the Grady High School Gymnasium January 17, 2008. Tickets for the event are $35 in advance and $40 the day of the show. Tickets can be purchased through Ticket Alternative at www.ticketalternative.com. Proceeds from the show will benefit PALS, an Atlanta-based Non Profit Organization that is dedicated to keeping pets and owners together to share the healing power of love and companionship. PALS provides pet-care including free food and basic veterinary care, and support to the companion pets of critically ill and disabled Atlantans. This "doggonely" different event will not only unleash today's cutting-edge fashions from the city's hottest young designers, but noted, beautiful Atlantans will accompany their favorite pets who will be sporting the chicest canine couture in the city. Models will include famous television and radio broadcast celebrities such as WSB's Monica Pearson, CBS46's Jennifer Mayerle, Leslie Fram of 99X, Mara Davis from DaveFM, Tom Sullivan, Cinda B from Movie and a Makeover, Miss Georgia USA 2008 Amanda Kozak, Dorothea Bozicolona-Volpe, Liz Lapidus, and Mitchell Anderson. In addition to these impressive names, the stage will be "strutted" by over 20 cute canines!
