As seen on a bumper sticker: "Raising teenagers is like nailing jello to a tree."

Please try not to schedule doctor's appointments on these days, and be sure that students get plenty of sleep and have a good breakfast before beginning their day. Chamber Theatre Productions Field Trip – Donations Requested!
As most of you know, we are taking a field trip to see the Chamber Theatre productions at the Atlanta Symphony Hall on Friday, May 2nd. Most students have returned permission slips and paid for the field trip, and we thank you for that. In the past, APS transportation has been free of charge. With rising fuel prices, APS is requiring us to pay for bus service to and from the production. This is a cost not figured into the original $17.00 fee for the trip. We are asking for donations to help offset the cost of the busses. It works out to be $3.50 per student. We realize it has already been a large expense to parents for students to have the opportunity to take this field trip. We feel like it will be a wonderful learning experience for all involved, and can not wait for the opportunity. We appreciate your help and patience as we work through this unexpected expense. If you have questions or would like to make a donation, please contact Tommy Firesheets at tfiresheets@atlanta.k12.ga.us for more information.

The Floor is Open for Nominations!
The Inman PTA Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2008-2009 Inman PTA Board. The Nominating Committee will present candidates for the 2008-09 Board at the May PTA meeting.

Research shows that a family’s level of participation in its children’s education has an enormous impact on the students’ grades, attendance and attitude toward school. The more parents are involved in a child’s education, the more successful the child becomes. PTA is a wonderful way to meet people and be an important part of your child’s education, and the Inman PTA offers parents many opportunities to get involved. If you like to work behind the scenes or prefer to take center stage, Inman PTA has a Board position that fits your schedule and volunteer style!

If you wish to nominate someone for a PTA Board position or want to be considered for a position yourself, please contact Marie Killory (PTA nominations committee) at choib3@hotmail.com.
