Inman Back-to-School Dance
The Inman PTA is sponsoring the first dance of the school year THIS Friday, September 19th from 7:00-9:00pm. All Inman students are welcome. The cost will be $5 or $3 with a perfect attendance coupon. A permission form will be sent home with students. Permission forms are required to enter the dance. A song request box has been placed in the school lobby (near the School Store) for students to make requests. There will be a dance-off and a raffle for great prizes. Refreshments will be provided for an additional cost: pizza slice ($1), drinks ($1), and candy (50 cents).

Parent volunteers are still needed! If you can help with set-up or chaperon, please contact Warren Bruno at wbruno@bellsouth.net.

Final Turn-in Day for the Magazine Sale!
This Friday, September 19th is the last turn-in for magazine orders. Let's make it the biggest one yet! Exciting prizes will be given for weekly orders and cumulative orders. Two popular awards include: VIP ticket to the main event (including a rockin' DJ, a Bungee Run, Pizza & Soda) scheduled for Thursday, October 4th (12 cumulative orders) and the Hummer Limo Lunch scheduled for Friday, October 5th (20 cumulative orders). We are keeping the fun in FUNdraising and look forward to a successful finish. It's our last chance to earn big bucks for our wonderful school. Thanks for all your efforts and support – Inman rocks!

YEA! Inman’s Award winning Debate Team returns!
Ms. Looman and Ms. Lefont have announced that they will be sponsoring the Debate Team at Inman this year. Please stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Inman Middle School presents the Inman GEMS:
GEMS is a new science club just for girls - Girls Excelling in Math & Science. Girls making a difference and changing the world using their skills in science, technology, engineering and math. It is a weekly after-school club on that will meet on Tuesdays from 4pm-5:30pm in Ms. Schlegel's room.

The club will have weekly hands-on activities and experiments that will encourage girls to learn more about exciting and emerging careers in science, math, technology, and engineering. In addition to these activities, the girls will use brand new MAC computers to create podcasts of the weekly meetings to post on the club website. We will be planning several field trips to locations such as a Georgia Tech laboratory, the CDC, a manufacturing plant and the Georgia Nature Center. Female speakers will come to encourage the girls and share their work experience in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. At the end of the year, we will assist the girls in finding summer camps to continue to fuel their excitement. The club is organized as part of the Girls Scouts Council of Northwest Georgia, Inc. This partnership provides insurance for the club and access to great leadership training materials. We will be working with the girls to build leadership skills and self-esteem! College students from Georgia Tech will assist at the club meetings and speak about their career paths!

Who: Parents & their daughters

What: Receive information about the after school club and register! Student registration includes completing a form and a $10 registration fee. The fee goes directly to the Girl Scout Council (this covers insurance and some small expenses). Also, parents you can register as a volunteer!

How: To register your daughter to become part of the Inman GEMS, please attend the Parent/Daughter Info Session, if you are unable to attend please contact kelseaadams@gmail.com or kschlegel@atlanta.k12.ga.us

When: Tuesday, September 16th at 4pm and another one starting at 6pm (these session will be the same so you should only attend one of them).

Where: Inman Middle School in Ms. Schlegel's classroom.
